Danny has been at Crested Butte with his guy friends for a week now. I flew up to meet him taking Sara Beth with me to meet her husband and our friends the Bristers. We laid low for a couple of days, allowing ourselves to acclimate to the altitude. Yesterday we picked up the Lensings and ate dinner at home. Today everyone went to the slopes. Sara Beth, Laurie and Sheron took an upper level lesson while the men skied together. I'm not a skier, so I spent time wandering around the resort and drinking hot chocolate. I also sat on one of the benches watching skiers and snowboarders, young and old, and visiting with people sitting near me. We ate lunch at the Avalanche, our favorite lunch spot. We eat there every day for lunch. The variety is perfect for us and the portions are plenty big enough to share. We are supper at The Brick Oven, a pizza joint, in town tonight.
