I have never seen Red Columbine on this trail....what a treat!
I walked the Lower Loop with Hallie and saw wildflowers on the trail that I have never seen there before. I think it's because it has been so wet and also the snowmelt was late this year. There was a lot of water in the Slate, and we enjoyed watching a fellow hiker's dog enjoy the cold water.
