This morning was a very informative walk in the town of Gothic in the RMBL private property. We were introduced to one of if not the only long term study of global warming in the world. John Harte, a professor from The University of California, Berkeley, was on hand to give us an introduction to the project which has been running for the past 30 years. We walked throughout the RMBL plots, learning the common and scientific names of flowers and plants. We also were treated to a glimpse of some delicate, little tiny rare orchids growing near a stream. It was a very interesting tour and I was impressed with the knowledge of our tour guide about the flowers we were seeing.
